Zapata Falls

Back in May my family and I went to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. It was such a great way to spend Mother's Day... camping with my dad. On the last day we hiked up to Zapata Falls and the creek and falls were still frozen over. We walked over the ice through the canyon and saw these incredible falls. 40 feet, mostly frozen. The ice was blue in places. It was stunning.
On the LO I was drawn to one of the lovely Precocious Paper flowers. I think it is the juxtaposition of winter and spring. Ice and flowers.
